Cars are imported for many reasons. But usually it is because it is cheaper to do so, the cars are cleaner or it is a specialist vehicle not available in Australia
We are import specialists from Japan but are expanding into UK, UAE & USA
The longest part is finding the right car. Once we do and win the auction the process to ship, comply & register usually takes from 2-3 months
Yes our staff are based in all major auction houses. They will inspect the vehicle directly and send your photos & videos prior to placing a bid
Yes. We do all our compliance in house. This separates us from many other importers who only import but are unable to comply the vehicle.
We can import most vehicles on the SEVS (Specialist & Enthusiast Vehicle Scheme) list. If you have a specific vehicle reach out.
Typical costs are the purchase price, shipping fees, custom duties, luxury car tax, registration fees & roadworthy fees.
Importing refers to bringing a car into Australia. But it doesn’t allow you to legally register and drive the car on the road. To do that a specialist workshop will need to comply the vehicle – which includes checking the vehicle meets Australian standard & regulations and providing a certificate. Only then can the vehicle be taken to your state licensing authority to be registered.
